7 months

My mind has been in so many different places that I almost forgot yesterday was Baby Girl's 7 month mark. Our new favorite thing to do is race into her room together after she's woken up. Her smile at that moment is so huge it melts our hearts. She taught herself to pull herself up just a day or two after she officially started crawling (not just the army crawl) and she's so proud of herself. We are trying to live in the moment and savor every moment we have with her because she really is growing up too fast.

Please

Last week tragedy struck a family that we cherish dearly. I'm posting this in hopes that you will join us in sincere prayer as the search continues for Griffin.

There's also a Facebook page with more information on how to donate to the family.

Please join us in prayer!

UPDATE: On Wednesday the 27th they found Griffin! God is always good.

Father's Day

I wanted to do a special post for my man, who has really come into his own being a father. It's been a real sweet experience seeing Madelyn become a Daddy's Girl and watching him love every second of it. Lately, he's the only one who can get her to sleep if we are in public and for naps. She's officially crawling and not just crawling but pulling herself up and standing. I'm not too pleased with this because I want her to crawl for a longer period of time. I feel it's better for them in the long run. We wake up to her standing in her crib gnawing on the railings. She's a strong little booger, so what can I do?

I was hoping to include a picture of Cony and Madelyn and sadly realized, I've really only been taking pictures of her alone. Something I hope will change!

Hoping

Dear Friends, Family, People I don't know who might possibly read this blog,

You may know that adoption is near and dear to our hearts. We want to adopt again, but this post isn't about us. This post is about some friends who have been trying for a very long time to feel the joy of parenthood and would love the opportunity to adopt. If I didn't know them personally and trust that they could give a child an exceptional life, I wouldn't share their information. So please share. Share their information with anyone.... because you just never know.

Hugs,

Mississippi

We spent a few days in Mississippi during our stay in the South and I only wish we could have stayed longer. We were spoiled rotten by grandparents and Baby Girl had her first experience with the family zoo. It's not really a zoo, its just our family loves animals and has a lot of them.

I grew a new appreciation for the slow paced life in their small towns. Every store we went into didn't have one computer and hand wrote each receipt, and talked to me like I was a member of their own family. I loved every second we had in Mississippi.

Georgia

While in Georgia we were able to spend quality time with family which made my heart happy. While with Uncle Charles he changed Madelyn's initials to LLL standing for Lovely Little Lady.

Some highlights of GA:

-Morgan's baptism!
-McKinzie & Morgan's choir concert. We actually missed them singing and I'm still not over it.
-Pampering with the Sis
-Dahlonega
-Publix ice cream
-swimming in an actual pool
-swimming with Chay.
-temple
-movie night that even mom participated in
-mini ColorRun of our own- SIL is genius!
-sealing & blessing (of course!)

We didn't want to leave but was glad to have our own space and bed again!
