workshop
As I have mentioned before I recently added a new member to our family, my camera. I (we) love it. I want to learn more about it. I want to learn more about this medium of art! I've had my eye on this workshop for MONTHS and Amanda and Holly have finally announced a date. I'm super excited to attend but super excited to possibly win a chance to attend for free.. I mean hello.. who doesn't like free!?! Wish me luck!

Always..
Yesterday was dad's birthday so mom, Emily, Jordan, Cony and I headed up to Dahlonega where we spread his ashes. It was a gorgeous afternoon! It couldn't have been more perfect to celebrate the occasion and to take pictures. Since I've gotten a new camera, Cony and I both fight over it. The only solution is to buy another one...someday.
I couldn't resist posting this picture..
And we can't forget about Valentine's Day. I've always loved V-day. The colors, the hearts, the love and my favorite candy comes back. (cinnamon chewy hearts). It was our day to not have to do anything or be anywhere. So we went to the movies (Confessions of a Shopaholic) and Borders and read for a few hours. I love not having to be anywhere. We came home and watched the All-Star Dunkin' competition. I know.. that just screams romantic, uh?

This is what ya get
I feel really behind. I made a list of things I wanted to blog about just for the shear fact I didn't want to forget. I mean this is about keeping track of our life, right?
We've been stayin' busy going to parties and such, adopting a cat and helping out the family. Last week I was able to help Clark & Rachel by picking up the girls from the bus. Basically I was pretending to be their mother. Homework, clean the room and bath. The usual. It tickled me pink to be with McKinzie and Morgan. It's so crazy to see the different personalities in them even at their age.
Yes, you did read correctly, we adopted a cat. Her name is Snow Belle. We really wanted a dog but our apartment couldn't handle a dog. Nor could we. But we couldn't be more delighted to have Snow Belle.
she loves to get our attention by taking our attention away from what we are doing...
I just finished one of the best books ever. In fact I took a long time to read it because I did NOT want it to end. If you have not read it.. shame on you... go check it out at the library.
A few weekends ago we went to the Battle of the Bands 2009 at the GA Dome with Brandon and Amber. There were a few famous singers there but I can't remember their names. If my sister went she could have told ya. But as it goes, I can't keep anything straight.
Emily was amazing enough to take me with her to Kooza. It amazed me how talented everyone was. My favorite was the guy on the unicycle dancing with a women like they were on ice. My heart couldn't take some of the stuff they were doing. I felt a panic attack coming through most of their acts.
My mind has been racing lately. In fact to the point that I don't sleep. Two weeks I have been sleep deprived. I woke up in the middle of the night and the thought came to me that I needed to write about food storage. Something we have been working on in the past few weeks and continue to do so. If you don't know what food storage is all about and the link doesn't answer your questions.. it's something we have been commanded to do by our Church Leaders in case of an emergency for years.. job loss, catastrophe, the list could go on.. Lately I have been really grateful for that counsel.
